When on-boarding an RSP, how does Enable validate that the request is genuine?
The information provided in the on-boarding request will be validated by the requesting RSP's Enable Account Manager.
Can I have access to view the RAML files?
If you would like access to the RAML please log an enquiry with API Support via the Contact API Support Page.
What is Enable's API version strategy? Will API version changes be minor or major?
The version numbers will be (vMajor.minor.bugfix) and Enable will ensure that we do not release breaking changes into a current version. If breaking changes need to be made, Enable will release a new version (e.g. v2.0.0) and deprecate the previous version over a period of time that will be specified with the new release.
What is the purpose of the X-Transaction-ID Header?
The purpose of the x-transaction-id header is to track a request through our APIs and identify issues that may occur. For example, if the client sends a request and receives a 500 server error, Enable can use the clients x-transaction-id to view the logs and identify what went wrong. Note: The x-transaction-id should always be unique to the client for this reason.
Do cached responses count toward the rate limit?
Yes. All requests will count toward the rate limit.
When are Fulfil APIs coming?
Fulfil APIs are part of Enable's vision for future API developments, post 2022. Further developments and their timings will be advised by RSP Informer. If you have a specific request, please log an enquiry with API Support via the Contact API Support Page or contact your Enable Account Manager.
Can we expose Enable's API's to a third party?
It is not recommended. Through Enable's IAM, you have the abilty to add users to your RSP's groups. Keep in mind, those third party users will have the ability to query your services and by granting them access you become responsible for their usage, ensuring it aligns with the Enable API Terms and Conditions and Website Terms of Use policies. Also remember that your rate limit will apply to all users under your account, including a third party to which you may decide to grant access.
