The Fibre Broadband Availability API provides RSPs with enhanced prequalification information to confirm product availability at an address. In addition, RSPs can obtain the consent status for shared interest properties (multi-dwelling units and properties on shared driveways) as well as installed product and order status information to assist with customer transfers. RSPs will be able to use this information to set appropriate expectations about the fibre install experience.
The Fibre Broadband Availability API provides information about:
- The property:
- Customer segment
- Type of premise - e.g. Single Dwelling Unit etc
- Network build status
- Shared property consent requirements:
- Indication of whether a consent will be required or not
- The number of consents received vs required
- The status of the consenting process
- Active service and open order information
The Enable Fibre Broadband Availability API is aligned to the Chorus Broadband Availability API to allow RSP developers simple integration with their systems. This API includes a number of copper broadband related items; however, these items will return a Null response as they are not relevant to the Enable fibre broadband network.
